A bundle of vintage Cedar Wood PENCILS.
Probably from the 1940s/50s.
12 pencils with red lead at one end and blue at the other.
Used, amongst other things for editing manuscripts, by draughtsmen and engineers for marking up plans or teachers for marking books.
On the opencil is stamped FAR EAST MADE IN HONG KONG
Can be sharpened with a stanley knife or the right sized pencil sharpener.
The odd one might have wood that has shrunk or split and sharpening may be more difficult..the price reflects this.
I have bundles with their original thick paper label around them, or bundles where this has broken and they are just tied up with string.
