Product Details
For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Fabulous Restored First Generation 1941 Parker Senior Duofold Double Jewel Fountain Pen in the Dusty Rose Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, 3-Ring (narrow-wide-narrow) Cap Banding and 14K Gold NIB. I have also cleaned, buffed, and polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Blue Diamond Gold Filled clip with some wear on the right edging and top of the clip on the sides of the blue diamond - I point it out for clarity sake and has been polished to a high shine. The Gold Filled 3-Ring Cap Band displays a wonderful gold filled color with just a hint of wearing in the lower edge of the wideband. The top jewel is black and polished to a great shine The bottom jewel is clean along with the gold-filled trim ring. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN U.S.A." - there is no date code on this particular Striped Duofold. The 1st Generation Striped Senior Duofold came out in 1941 and this is how we can determine the date. The transparency of the barrel is Clear as one can easily see through it, albeit with mild ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Senior Parker Duofold Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.

The Vacumatic Filling System has Speedline Filler Unit that is proper for a 1941 date code Parker fountain pen of this model. The filler works great, typically in my tests with water about 12 to 15 presses and it will fill full. This Vacumatic Filling unit is in excellent condition; it has been greased and now operates as it should to fill.

This Parker Duofold has the "V" Parker Pen NIB - this nib has been worked on to be smoothed out and does write exceptionally well. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .69mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, the NIB writes with a firm to broad stroke/line. The writing sample provided in the image has a fine line/stroke measuring at (.45mm) with light pressure on the horizontal strokes and will flex to roughly a broad (1.00mm) with firm writing pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

The Dusty Gray Celluloid on this Fountain Pen is gorgeous. These 1st Generation Parker Striped Duofold pens are uncommon and I typically see about one of these for every 20-30 of the later 1942 Senior Striped Duofolds. They are increasingly harder and harder to acquire, especially in this condition. I would grade this Parker Striped Duofold in Excellent Condition. Certainly, a collector grade writing instrument and is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
